Barbara Troczynski
M.Sc.PT M.C.P.A, Registered Physiotherapist
Barb holds a Masters Degree of Science in Physiotherapy from the Academy of Physical Education in her home town Crocow, Poland.
After moving to Canada in the 90’s, she started to work in hospitals such as GF Strong and G. Pearson. Since 2003 Barbara
has been working in private clinics all over the lower mainland, mostly in Vancouver, where she has lived over 25 years!
Barbara founded Main Care Physiotherapy in 2017.
In her practice, she uses mostly manual therapy such as soft tissue release, myofacial release, trigger point therapy, MET and
stretching techniques. With Barb’s work background from Europe and Canada, she is
able to treat patients after car accidents (MVA), work related injuries (WSBC) and orthopaedic cases. She has a strong interest
in Women’s Health and TMJ dysfunctions.
She has completed many post-graduate courses in the area of orthopaedics, Kinesio-taping, whiplash injuries, vestibular rehab,
women’s health and visceral manipulation.
When she is not trying to heal the world, she enjoys good conversation, good movies, new adventures, attending piano concerts and travelling the world.

Shih Kai (Mike) Chen
Dr. TCM, Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine
D. Ac, Registered Acupuncturist
Mike graduated from PCU College of Holistic Medicine, Burnaby, BC in 2011. For over ten years, he has been a registered Doctor of TCM and a registered acupuncturist. Mike also has over fifteen years of Tuina massage experience. Mike’s specialization is in pain management and treating internal diseases. Moreover, Mike was an instructor at PCU College of Holistic Medicine for five years.
While not in the clinic, Mike enjoys sports such as swimming and hiking. Mike also spends a vast amount of time reading up new medical techniques for the best interests of both him and his patients.

Hana Terencio
BA in Kinesiology and Health Sciences, Registered Kinesiologist
Hana is a Kinesiologist with hands-on experience in exercise prescription, rehabilitation, and falls prevention. Her interest in the field began after experiencing various sports-related injuries growing up, which sparked a passion for understanding the body and helping others move better. Hana values the importance of preventative health and takes pride in supporting individuals not only through recovery but also in maintaining their physical well-being long-term. Her goal is to help clients return to the activities they enjoy by creating personalized exercise plans tailored to their unique needs and goals.

Since Hana spent her undergraduate years in Toronto, Ontario, she’s been taking full advantage of the beauty of nature in BC. She loves spending her time visiting the beach, hiking, swimming, camping, biking, going to farmers’ markets, and trying out new coffee shops. Being outdoors in the sun helps her recharge and feel reconnected to nature! Recently, she has developed a passion for gravel biking and is planning her first bikepacking adventure soon!

Smruti Parmar
Physiotherapy Assistant
Smruti Parmar, is a qualified physiotherapy professional who completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2020 in India. She brings over four years of clinical experience managing patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiorespiratory, and other medical conditions from india. Her practice is rooted in evidence-based rehabilitation, with a strong emphasis on restoring function, improving mobility, and enhancing overall quality of life through individualized, patient-centered treatment approaches.
Currently, Smruti works as a Physiotherapy Assistant (since July 2025), supporting direct patient care while contributing to clinical and administrative coordination within the healthcare setting. She is actively preparing for her Physiotherapy Licensing Examination, reflecting her commitment to continuous professional development and excellence in multidisciplinary care. Outside of her clinical role, Smruti enjoys reading, hiking, dancing, and travelling, pursuits that support a balanced and active lifestyle.

Zarah Espejo
Office Manager/Admin
Zarah is our enthusiastic Office Manager/Admin and billing personnel. She brings over 10 years of combined related experience from the Philippines and Dubai. She has mastered the art of front desk operations in fast-paced environments. Her expertise lies in her superb communication skills, great organizational abilities and attention to details. Her warm and friendly personality makes every client's experience positive. Zarah is committed to always strive to exceed expectations and provide a pillar of support to both the team and the clients.

Edez Flores
Office Assistant
Edez Flores is a part-time Receptionist at Main Care Physiotherapy Clinic with a diverse background in administration, customer service, and healthcare support. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the Philippines and a Diploma in Business Administration from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Canada. With combined professional experience gained in both Dubai and Canada, Edez brings strong organizational and interpersonal skills to her role.
Edez is proficient in Microsoft Office, Jane App, appointment scheduling, insurance coordination, and front-desk administration. She is committed to providing efficient and compassionate support to patients while ensuring smooth daily clinic operations. Fluent in English and Tagalog, Edez is known for her friendly demeanor, professionalism, reliability, and dedication to creating a welcoming and positive experience for every patient. She is a valued member of the Main Care Physiotherapy Clinic team.
